• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, render notifications, security alerts)
• Improve the Service through anonymized usage analytics
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do NOT use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.

To deliver the Service, we share data with categories of providers:

• Payment processing: for handling subscriptions and purchases
• Authentication: for managing your account login
• AI processing: for script, image, voice, and video generation (your inputs are processed but not used to train models)
• Cloud infrastructure: for hosting, database, and file storage
• Email delivery: for transactional notifications

4. Content Generation and AI Training

Content you generate (scripts, images, videos) is yours. We do not use your content to train AI models without explicit consent.

Our AI processing providers handle your inputs to generate outputs. Per their business-tier terms, they do not use your content for model training.

• Account data: Retained while your account is active
• Generated content: Retained while your account is active. Deletion possible on request.
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
• Inactive accounts: Deleted after 12 months of inactivity (after email notice)

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Access your data: Request a copy of your stored information
• Correct data: Update inaccurate information from your account settings
• Delete account: Email hello@aistorylab.io to request full account and data deletion
• Export content: Download your generated videos anytime from your dashboard
• Withdraw consent: Disable marketing emails (transactional emails like payment receipts cannot be disabled while you have an active account)

Requests are processed within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use cookies for:

• Authentication: Keeping you logged in (Clerk)
• Affiliate attribution: Tracking referrals from partner creators (60-day expiry)
• Analytics: Anonymized usage data to improve the Service

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may break core functionality (login, checkout, affiliate links).

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn of a child's account, we will delete it immediately. Parents may contact hello@aistorylab.io.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Database encryption at rest (Supabase)
• Secure authentication (Clerk)
• Payment data isolation (handled by Dodo Payments, not stored by us)
• Regular security reviews

No system is 100% secure. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own (United States, European Union, India). We ensure all providers comply with applicable data protection laws.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email with at least 30 days notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
